The Disney Cultural Exchange (DCE) program was designed to inspire young people around the world to explore their cultures through studying abroad or traveling here, exploring our wonderful country as Americans. It also encourages international understanding and friendship by bringing together individuals with similar interests.
The DCE was first introduced in 1992 when 10 students were selected from over 200 applicants to go on an eight-day educational trip to Paris. Since then, it has grown into a successful long term initiative that includes both high school and college student participants.
Participants come from all different cultural backgrounds and nationalities, which is what makes this program so unique. There are no “native” students at these universities, which helps you get a true feel for how other countries live and thrive.
This article will talk more about the application process for the DCE program.

The next step in this process is finding an organization or group that you are willing to work with, potentially as many as two people per organization. This could be through personal contacts, social media, word of mouth, etc.
If you’re reading this article then you probably already have some ideas but no one knows if their organization was invited until after September 1! That’s why it’s important to check whether your organization has ever received DCEP before.
We recommend doing your research online first by looking at past recipients’ websites and learning about them. You can also look into whether they were successful in bringing international students to America and what kind of success they had.
Intercultural communication is very important so make sure to do your research on that too! All of these things help determine if this partnership will succeed or not.

The next step in applying is preparing your application! You will need to make sure that you have all of your documents, applications, and proofs ready before submitting your application. These can be scanned or typed up and saved as PDFs so they do not disappear when opened.

The more connected you are with the Walt Disney Company, the better chance you have of being selected as an ambassador. People who work at the company watch YouTube videos about the program very frequently, so do that!
Running your own Instagram account is another way to connect with the company. Post pictures and stories related to the exchange or educational experiences you’ve had while in Orlando, and leave comments telling people how inspired you were by the experience.
You can also take advantage of opportunities that the company offers its employees to gain credits and rewards points towards future trips. These include flights, hotel stays, dining vouchers, and theme park admissions.
If you’re already employed at the company, see if there’s anything the organization can offer the community outside of business-related activities. There may be courses, programs, or events that the company could promote to boost local interest in things like health and wellness or diversity.

The next step is to show how seriously you are about experiencing different cultures through their program. This includes proving that you are an active member of the community, or at least indicate that you want to be actively involved in the community.
You can make this clear by demonstrating your involvement in things such as donating money to charities, supporting organizations through fundraising events, volunteering within the community, etc. Make sure to include all these activities over the past six months!
If possible, it should also demonstrate that you’re willing to spend time outside of normal work hours to pursue your goal. For example, if you are interested in traveling abroad, show that you have set aside your schedule to do research, apply online, and prepare for your trip.

The term cultural exchange comes from when two or more countries work together to bring people in their country out to theirs. For example, England would invite an artist or group of artists to perform in England, France would do the same with musicians, and then both nations talk about who they want to tour with them. This way, each nation gets to showcase their talent to another country that may want to hire them as a performer!
The same thing happens with a culture exchange program at Disney. A country is invited to spend a week to ten days at Disneyland or Walt Disney World to take part in some activities including touring the parks, attending events, and even staying in a resort room or apartment while you are there!
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and cannot participate in any other organized tours during their stay. They have to pay for their own food and transportation within the city where the event takes place, but rest and relaxation facilities can be paid for via the Culture Division’s budget.

The cultural exchange program was created in 2001 when then-Disney Ambassador Rick Taylor asked if there were any ways he could help more people enjoy traveling. Since then, it has grown into one of the biggest perks of employment at Walt Disney World!
The Cultural Exchange (CE) Program allows employees from all over the world to bring a group of up to 10 friends or family members to visit an attraction or day tour with the company as their own personal ticket. They even pay for most of the trip’s transportation and accommodations!
Each year, the CE team invites around 2,000 applicants to apply and 40–50 new ambassadors are selected each spring. While being chosen is incredible, what really sets these individuals apart is not only their desire to represent the company well but also how they plan to take advantage of this experience.
Applicants are evaluated on several qualities such as whether they have previous travel experiences, if they know anyone else in the community that might be able to meet others while you’re here, and if they can list two examples of something they’ve done outside of work to contribute to our worldwide network of friendships.

After you have gathered all of your materials, it is time to edit your writing! While it may feel tedious at first, this is an integral part of ensuring that your message was clear and that your voice sounded authentic.
Editor’s note: This will particularly matter if you use vocabulary or grammar that isn’t common practice.
The easiest way to do this is by using the Google editor. You can type in one or two phrases and then hit “edit word as free online spell check.” Then, compare your text with what the dictionary says so you know how to correct them!
Another way to ensure quality proofreading is to use free publishing platforms such as Publishizer or Draftdoodler. Both offer basic tools to make sure your article looks good and has no errors.
After passing both of these tests, upload your new draft onto your website or social media platform. If there are any issues, people will be able to see them and let you know if they look like something you might repeat or not.

Now that you have everything prepared, it’s time to publish your post! Make sure to give it at least one hour to get some likes and comments before editing or refreshing the page to check back.
After publishing, wait around for someone to comment or like on your article to indicate that people found your content helpful. If there are no responses within an hour, try repeating what you posted earlier in order to draw more attention to yourself.
Once you receive feedback, contact the appropriate person directly to set up your appointment. Keep in mind that this may take several days depending on how busy their schedule is.
